HealthTrio says it offers `second generation' technology that surpasses Healtheon's.(Brief Article)

Healtheon/WebMD may be big, but HealthTrio says it's better at interconnecting providers, health plans and patients via the Internet because its Web-based tool offers "second generation technology" that provides "intelligent connectivity."

The difference, according to spokesperson Oliver Hall, is that while Healtheon is able to connect the user to "a bunch of incompatible databases that can provide `yes-no' answers," HealthTrio's technology provides one platform that solves the compatibility challenge and provides all the information providers need.
