J.D. Power and Associates and Health Grades Inc. have formed a strategic alliance to recognize hospitals for service and clinical excellence. In what the companies say is an industry first, the Distinguished Hospital Performance Program will evaluate both the patient experience and the clinical outcomes, covering the full spectrum of hospital quality issues.

The alliance leverages J.D. Power and Associates' experience measuring customer satisfaction across industries with HealthGrades' expertise in assessing clinical performance.
