GE will supply 7FDM diesel engines.(Equipment News)

GE Transportation, Erie, Pa., in conjunction with its distributor Marinsa Peru, S.A., will supply Pesquera Diamante S.A., Peru, with 7FDM medium-speed diesel engines. The engines will be used to power newbuilds and to repower Pesquera Diamante's entire fleet of purseine net fishing boats.
Pesquera ordered the engines to establish lower fuel and life cycle costs, availability of parts, and local service support from Marinsa Peru S.A.

GE will deliver 8-cylinder and 12-cylinder models rated at 1,400 bhp and 2,000 bhp, respectively. Several engines will be shipped in 2005, while the remainder will be delivered over the next four years.
