New orders lift VT Halter Marine.(SHIPBUILDING)

Butch King is a busy man these days, and he just keeps adding to his workload. And that makes him a very happy man.
King is the Chief Executive Officer of VT Halter Marine Inc. The Pascagoula, Miss. shipbuilder has been bolstering its orderbook even as it rebuilds its facilities following last year's Hurricane Katrina.
VT Halter Marine is a unit of Vision Technologies Systems Inc. (VTS), Alexandria, Va. VTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore's ST Engineering.
In an interiew with Marine Log, King outlined VT Halter Marine's workload, which includes construction and design work for Articulated Tug Barges (ATB's) for Crowley Maritime Corp., fisheries survey vessels for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Fast Missile...
