Voyager of the Seas finds its home at the Port of Galveston.(Update)

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., has signed a five-year agreement to home-port the 138,000 grt Voyager of the Seas at the Port of Galveston.

The Voyager of the Seas will carry up to 125,000 round trip passengers from the port on cruises to the Caribbean and Mexico this season.
"Hosting this ship in the Gulf will bring great economic impact to the region, adding to the success of 2006 when we saw $1.1 billion in direct spending, the creation of 19,341 jobs and $907 million generated in new income for the state of Texas," said port director Steven M. Cernak.
