Harris Stratex Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:HSTX), a leading independent supplier of turnkey wireless transmission solutions, has secured a deal to provide Eclipse(TM) wireless transport platform to TDF, a French converged service provider. The Eclipse radios will provide high speed Gigabit Ethernet connections for TDF's WiMAX network.
TDF has secured licenses to provide WiMAX at 3.5GHz across 11 territories in France. Eclipse is ideally suited to support WiMAX backhaul traffic by enabling operators to support high-reliability Carrier Ethernet transport, and is a radio platform to support intelligent Layer 2 Quality of Service controls and features.
