Pfingsten Publishing (Seven Hills, OH) has signed a purchase agreement to acquire the assets of both International Investment Conferences (IIC; Miami, FL) and unit Resource Investor. No terms of the deal were given. IIC was represented by The Jordan, Edmiston Group (New York). IIC has been an affiliate of Isis Venture Partners (New York) since 2001.
IIC is an events company focusing on professional and retail investment conferences and trade shows for the global mining industry, including mining companies, government agencies, private and institutional investors, investment bankers and industry analysts. IIC also operates Resource Investor.com, a web site carrying news and data on the mining industry.

Pfingsten said the acquisition will "significantly expand" its Financial Services Group, which includes Agent & Broker, Mortgage Originator and Life Insurance Selling magazines.
Pfingsten's Art & Framing Group operates Decor and Art Business News, and "Decor Expo," among other properties, while the company's Industrial Group produces such titles as MRO Today, Professional Distributor and Construction Purchasing.
