"China Medical Device Manufacturer" from Canon Communications

Canon Communications (Los Angeles, CA), a unit of Apprise Media (New York) and the producer of magazines covering the medical manufacturing, general design, microelectronics, pharmaceutical, packaging and plastics industries, has begun the publication of "China Medical Device Manufacturer" magazine with a January/February issue. The new title will be published six times a year.

Described as "your gateway to the fastest growing medical manufacturing market in the world," the magazine has a controlled circulation of 5000 medical manufacturing professionals in China, including members of major Chinese medical industry associations and top member companies of the China Association of Medical Devices Industry. Canon said the title is designed to meet the increasing needs of an expanding Chinese market with information on high technology equipment, materials, software, components, subassemblies, advanced product design and contract services.

The premier issue included features on trends in orthopedics, joining technologies and extrusion, with subsequent 2006 issues covering such topics as innovations in machining, packaging, molding, testing, pumps and valves, precision motion control, electronics, trends in nanotechnology, metals, automation technologies and coatings.

Canon produces 20 trade magazines, including "Medical Device & Diagnostic Industry," "Medical Product Manufacturing News" and "European Medical Device Manufacturing," as well as 18 U.S. and international trade shows, directories and web sites. Canon was acquired by Apprise Media in 2005.
