John Wiley & Sons (Hoboken, NJ) German division Wiley-VCH (Weinheim) has begun the publication of the "Journal of Biophotonics," a new journal that carries articles and research on the entire field of biophotonics, including laser physics, medical applications, spectroscopic methods, and microbiology.

Targeted to chemists, physicists, engineers, physicians and biologists, the title covers the broad range of research on the interaction between light and biological matter and covers imaging and microscopy, advanced spectroscopy, optical biosensors, nano-manipulation, therapeutic and diagnostic applications, biosafety applications, and non-invasive physiological monitoring. The journal will be published six times a year.
