Business Publisher,  April 17, 2008

CNET Networks, Inc. (San Francisco, CA), through its BNET information service, a web site that provides information and tools for business managers, has launched BNET Industries (industry.bnet.com), a free resource that provides news and analysis on 11 industries. The site combines reporting with business fundamentals on more than 9,000 public companies.

Featuring blog reports from a range of journalists, BNET Industries will cover the Healthcare, Automotive, Media, Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Food, Retail, Advertising, Energy, Technology and Travel industries, with more industries to be added in the future. CNET said the site is designed to help managers "monitor marketplace and competitor activities, drive their companies forward and position their careers for future success."

The new site will include daily coverage of the developments within each industry and will feature: analysis and commentary on trends, news, and companies; U.S. company pages, with data and syndicated stories on company operations, partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, product launches, executive changes and SEC filings; blog reporting from journalists within each industry; and, content from partners such as Mergent and Seeking Alpha.

CNET Vice President Stephen Howard-Sarin said the site provides a "single resource that brings together all of the analysis and news that managers need to stay sharp on their industry, their competitors and even their own companies."
