Virgo Publishing (Phoenix, AZ) has begun the publication of Building Online Business magazine with an issue in May. The monthly has an initial controlled circulation of 75,000.
Virgo said that circulation includes corporate management and IT/IS management in a wide variety of industries. and is designed for the e-professional charged with "exploiting today's technologies to improve and grow their businesses," that is, moving their current business models to the Web. Virgo said the title will "bridge the gap between the traditional IT department and today's management team."

Editorial for the publication, a "must-read for every manager with a need to know how best to apply online solutions," is devoted to the "how-to's" of implementing online solutions, including how to use the Internet to streamline business processes, managing inventories, cut marketing costs, improve marketing efficiency and care for customer needs. The magazine's mission is to "be a viable source for critical thinking on complex transactions, sales, security, procurement and Human Resource matters in today's economy.
Virgo group publisher Donna Briggs said "our goal is to ensure that BOB is on the mission-critical task list of anyone whose choices of hardware, software, applications and positioning of online initiatives matter to companies' well being."
Virgo publishes 30 other stand-alone business and professional magazines in a wide variety of fields, including Child Care Business, Modern Car Care, Juice, Today's Librarian, Horse Professional and The Corporate Logo.
