Nielsen Media Research International (New York), a unit of VNU, has acquired BBC De Media en Reclame Bank B.V. (BBC; Amsterdam), an advertising intelligence company. No terms were given. BBC provides advertising expenditure data for the Dutch ad market. The company monitors all types of media including radio, newspapers, magazines, television, the Internet, direct mail and cinema across all business sectors.

The company's 'Adfinders' database contains details from 145,000 advertisers and more than 300,000 products in more than 1000 titles.
