Oxford University Press (Cary, NC) has begun the publication of two new journals, including "Journal of World Energy Law & Business" and "Policing; A Journal of Policy and Practice."
The "Journal of World Energy Law & Business" will be published four times a year as the official journal of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN; Houston, TX) and is designed to provide coverage of developments and news related to energy law, energy business policy issues and the international energy industry.

It is targeted to academics, attorneys, government and international agency officials, industry executives and officials of non-governmental organizations. Editor Thomas Walde said the purpose of the journal is to "fill the gap between the perspective and the approach of the various disciplines focusing on international energy (and) to become the principal forum for an inter-disciplinary dialogue."
The new title includes information on upstream oil and gas transactions, finance, taxation, regulation and legislation and dispute management for all energy sectors (coal, gas, uranium, petroleum, wind, solar, etc.), alternative energy resources, energy policy and security, and international energy organizations.
"Policing: A Journal of Policy and Practice" is a new quarterly title targeted to senior police officers, researchers, academics, policy makers and attorneys that covers current policy and practice, comparative international practices, legal and political developments, and related research. Articles cover a wide range of relevant subjects, including policing styles, training and education, specialist operations, diversity, accountability and human rights.
The first issue in 2008 includes articles on: organized crime in Europe; understanding local organized crime; money laundering and terrorism; organized crime in Italy; the treatment of victims; policing highways; international response to organized crime; and, state witness protection programs. An annual print or online subscription costs $488 for institutions and $200 for individuals.
