Private equity fund Wicks Communications & Media Partners III (New York) has entered into an agreement to acquire the assets of Harris Connect, Inc. (Brewster, NY), a provider of alumni and member affinity solutions. Under terms of the deal, the Harris Connect business will be operated through a new entity, Harris Connect LLC.

Ownership will be primarily through Wicks Group-related fund entities with minority ownership going to current chairman Bill Harris and existing Harris family shareholders. Harris publishes over 600 alumni and membership directories annually, provides Internet services to more than 1,000 educational institutions and membership organizations and delivers research and modeling solutions to a further 1,000 clients.
