INFO. SECURITY SYSTEMS ASSOC. TO LAUNCH "PASSWORD" IN JANUARY

Business Publisher, Sept 30, 2001

The Information Systems Security Association (Oak Creek, WI), an international organization for information security professionals and practitioners, will begin the publication of Password magazine with an issue in January. It replaces and will be mailed to the 10,000 readers of ISSA's Password bi-monthly newsletter, including all ISSA members, industry suppliers and related industry experts. It will be published monthly.

Editorial will include articles written by ISSA board members and related professionals and suppliers "who have a special expertise," ISSA said, and will cover such topics as new security developments, training opportunities and industry and association news. It will have a minimum 32-page folio and a 60/40 ed/ad mix. Explaining the switch from newsletter to magazine, an ISSA executive noted that "we have received numerous inquiries about 4-color advertising in our newsletter in the past. With so many companies who need to reach this very specialized, growing market of IT professionals, the ability to run full color ads will be very popular."
