Jupitermedia Corp.'s (New York) JupiterImages division has made another acquisition, purchasing PR Direct SAS (Paris), a distributor of royalty-free digital images for business users and creative professionals. No terms were given. JupiterImages now includes such brands as BananaStock, PictureQuest, ThinkStock Images, Comstock Images and Creatas Images. In late August of this year, the company launched JupiterImages Unlimited, a subscription service that gives users access to hundreds of thousands of stock photos.

Also, Jupitermedia reported third quarter revenues of $34.4 million, an increase of 111.4% over the $15.8 million reported in the third quarter of 2004. Net income for the period totaled $60.4 million, including a gain of $29.1 million related to the sale of Jupitermedia's Search Engine Strategies events and ClickZ.com Network, compared to net income of $5.1 million for the same period in 2004. Revenue for the first nine months of the year increased 102%, going from $43.8 million last year to $88.5 million this year, while net income rose 614.9%, going from $10.2 million in 2004 to $73 million this year.
