Industry: Email Alert RSS FeedInternational Data Launches "Cio Poland"
Business Publisher, Nov 30, 2001
Also, IDG (Boston, MA), buoyed by the successful launch of CIO Germany earlier this year, has begun the publication of CIO Poland, a new magazine for CIOs, CXOs and other senior-level business managers. To be published six times a year, the new title has a controlled circulation of 12,000.
Together with a companion Web site (cio.com.pl), the launch is designed to "bridge the gap between IT issues and strategic business decisions," IDG said, and will focus on providing original, "solutions-oriented" content. Editorial includes case studies with coverage of such topics as supply chain management and IT investment, and also carries interviews with IT professionals and business executives implementing new IT strategies.

IDG said that there was a "clear void in Poland's IT publishing market" now being filled by the title. CIO Poland is the tenth national edition of CIO magazine and its first in Eastern Europe. The magazine is also published in Canada, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, China, India and the U.S. Overall, the launch is the eighteenth IDG publication for Eastern European markets.
