Penn Treaty American Corp., Allentown, Pa., has named Bruce A. Stahl vice president and chief actuary. Prior to joining Penn Treaty, Stahl headed BAS Actuarial Services, a firm he founded in 1994. He was a consultant in the healthcare practice of KPMG from 1993 to 1994. Stahl began his actuarial career at Colonial Penn Life Insurance Co.
after holding positions with Provident Mutual Life Insurance Co. and John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co.
