Two major insurers have recently added to their employee-benefits accidental death and dismemberment group product offerings.
Chubb Group of Insurance Cos. has expanded its benefits offerings to cover certain costs of burglaries, break-ins and child abductions.
The coverage is designed to supplement standard health and homeowners insurance. It pays up to $50,000 for medical expenses, including psychological therapy, and wages lost while recovering from trauma. It also can pay for temporary relocation and residential security enhancements. The new options are part of Chubb's voluntary accidental death, dismemberment and bodily injury program.
