This fall, Cigna HealthCare will begin providing online precertification to more than 365,000 physicians in its national network. The service will be powered by NaviNet, a provider-communications portal, from NaviMedix Inc. This capability will make it easier for providers across the country to submit and check the status of precertification requests for more inpatient services, certain outpatient services anal injectable medications.
Physicians can access the services through Cigna for HealthCare Professionals (www.cignaforhcp.com) or through NaviNet for Cigna HealthCare (navinet.navimedix.com).
