Conseco Insurance Co. has introduced two supplemental health products for the employer group market: Worksite Critical Illness and Wage Guard. The former offers lump-sum benefits up to $75,000 in three plan designs: cancer only, critical illness without cancer, and critical illness with cancer. Guaranteed issue is offered for coverage up to $20,000. Return-of-premium or cash-value riders are available in some states. The latter is a short-term disability product that pays weekly income benefits of $70 to $1,700 in the event of total disability caused by qualified sickness or injury. Clients can use a single application to enroll for both products at the same time.
