Men's Skin Care Products: US Market Potential

According to a report published by Frost & Sullivan, men suffer from dry skin, just as women do; the dryness becoming increasingly severe with age. The 191-page report entitled "Men's Skin Care Products In The United States", also comments on the problem of acne amongst many young men.

Most men, however, do not readily recognise the problem. The study notes that approximately 70 per cent of men's skin care products are purchased by women.

The overall market analyzed in the study comprises three categories: toilet soaps; skin moisturisers; anti-perspirants and deodorants. Total factory sales exceed $2.1 billion in 1989, and Frost & Sullivan forecasts the market will exceed $2.8 billion by 1995. The...
