Revlon to air infomercial for new Dolly Parton line. (Revlon Consumer Products Corp.)

In January, Revlon Consumer Products Corp. will begin selling cosmetics on US TV with a 30 minute infomercial. The cosmetics line is called Dolly and will be pitched by the actress and singer Dolly Parton herself.
The full line of eyeshadows, blushers, lip colour, nail enamel and foundation will be sold in kits that will retail for $80 to $100. In the spring, a Dolly fragrance is also planned for sale via an infomercial, and a skincare line is expected to follow.
In the infomercials, Ms Parton -- who is known as an avid cosmetics user -- will also offer consumers tips on colour choice and other style points. The line is packaged in mauve and gold with the Dolly name printed in type, and underneath it lighter script on the front of each carton. The Revlon...
