* Procter & Gamble is to phase out its Secret antiperspirant for women in Western Europe over the next year to 18 months, despite being very successful in Eastern Europe. A spokesperson for Procter & Gamble told Cosmetics International that "overall in Western Europe it hasn't met business expectations and it is company strategy to concentrate just on main beauty brands.
It will still continue to be available globally just not in Western Europe." Meanwhile, in America Procter & Gamble has extended, repackaged, added a fragrance and reformulated its Head & Shoulders range.
