Procter & Gamble acquires small but significant fragrance brand.(Jean Patou fragrance and fashion trademarks)(Brief Article)

Fragrance and fashion trademarks of Jean Patou have been acquired by Procter & Gamble Prestige Beaute, the Beauty Care Business Unit's Fine Fragrances Division based in Geneva. The Jean Patou trademarks were previously owned or managed by Jean Patou SA Paris.

P&G said that despite this being a small purchase for the company, it was very important to the future of its Fine Fragrances business. This division, says P&G, has been a very successful category for P&G over the last few years and developing it more is part of its strategy to grow asset-efficient businesses with global leadership potential.
