Industry analysis specialist Datamonitor is set to release a series a reports covering UK consumer trends throughout last year.

The company found that in general, spending on all things healthy and convenient increased as people juggled hectic and stressful modern day living. However, the reported number of cases of depression also increased with 9.3% of the adult population, or 2.7 million adults suffering depression. This, according to the survey, suggests that perhaps current lifestyles are taking their toll. The series will cover consumer trends in sectors such as personal care, food and drink.
