The US manufacturer and marketer of chemicals, fibres and plastics, Eastman Chemical Company has announced that Dr S Richard Turner, a research fellow in the Polymer Technology Division, was named 2002 Fellow by the Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering Division of the American Chemical Society.
The company has also announced that its supervisor of e-commerce Development in the Information Services Division, Brian Harmon, has been named as chairman of Chemical Industry Data Exchange (CIDX). This nonprofit trade organisation of chemical companies and their trading partners' main aim is to make electronic business easier, faster and more cost effective.
