Panasonic has entered into a licensing agreement with Procter & Gamble (P&G).(Brief Article)

Cosmetics International, July, 2002

Panasonic has entered into a licensing agreement with Procter & Gamble (P&G) to manufacture and sell a new line of hair dryers in North America using P&G's Pantene ProV trademark.

The new ionic technology dryers--which feature powerful air flow and state-of-the-art technology to lock in moisture and diminish static while in use--are expected to begin shipping to major mass market retailers this autumn. At the same time, P&G is reported in the Wall Street Journal to be spending an estimated $20mn on TV and print, along with Internet ads, in the US for its Pantene haircare brand.
