Bayer AG, Leverkusen, and Rodia ChiRex Inc have signed license agreements with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), US. These agreements are for the development of catalytic processes for the preparation of aromatic amines and ethers. The processes will use technology that has been developed by Professor Stephen L Buchwald, which is covered by several MIT patents.
