LVMH sells Bliss to Starwood hotels.(International News)(Brief Article)

LVMH is continuing its programme of offloading non-core beauty brands with the sale of its Bliss brand to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, owner of the W and Sheraton hotel chains.

Bliss currently operates three stand-alone day spas, two in New York and one in London. Its products are also available in international retail outlets and via a catalogue. Last year Bliss had revenues of $40m.

However, Starwood has far bigger plans for the brand. The company is no stranger to spas and already operates more than 180 spas worldwide in its various resorts; it now plans to open Bliss spas in its fashionable W Hotels.
