Sun Chemical gets extra protection.(Financial News)(Brief Article)

Sun Chemical Corporation has acquired the brand protection assets of Veritec Group Inc, a provider of technology and services that protect product integrity and brand security.

Sun Chemical, the world's biggest ink manufacturer, says the acquisition reflects its commitment to building its brand protection security business. Steve Postle, the company's director of technology, is particularly interested in two of Veritec's technologies: Verigard 1000, an authenticity verification system that uses forensic technology, and Verigard 300, an invisible inkjettable taggant system. "These technologies further our goal of providing brand owners a differentiated basket of solutions," he said.
