P&G-Impala deal to spawn Sephytal expansion.(Procter & Gamble Co.)(Brief Article)

October's announcement of Procter & Gamble and Impala's multi-year licensing agreement to partner in the design and manufacture of Iman and I-Iman beauty products has heralded nothing but good news for Sephytal, Iman's European distributor.

Said to be a 'strategic next step in the evolution of Iman brands', the deal will see more resources devoted to marketing the products, with the underlying message that Iman is for 'women of the world', not just women of black Caribbean ethnicity.

"We have built Iman Cosmetics to a good level through public relations," said Sephytal director Jenny Garon, "but have never had any budget for advertising. There is no denying that with advertising we will be able to take the Iman brand to the next level."
