Young Brits splash out more than their parents.(MARKET FOCUS)(Brief Article)

Twenty-something Brits are twice as likely to splash out on cosmetics and clothes as their fifty-plus parents, according to new research from Morgan Stanley Consumer Banking. And around 22 per cent of women interviewed in the survey are already investing cash on age defying beauty treatments.

Morgan Stanley found North Easterners and Scots were most likely to spend money on keeping age at bay. However, Patrick Muir, marketing director at Morgan Stanley Consumer Banking, warns that the battle to stay youthful is expensive--and advises being canny with a credit card to cope with the financial pressure.
