J&J gets frosty looks.(Johnsen & Jorgensen develops new plastic jars)(Brief article)

Johnsen & Jorgensen (J&J), the packaging manufacturer that was founded in 1884, has developed a 30ml in-mould frosted jar to accompany its existing frosted packaging offering.

The new jar comes as a 30ml standard, although it can be manufactured in other sizes for larger orders. It is made from SAN plastic and it has a rigid feel, despite being lightweight.

"Similar to other frosted jars in the J&J range, the frosting is done as part of the production process. This cuts out a manufacturing stage and therefore saves on cost," commented J&J's sales director, Jon Wear.

In addition the jar has a screw-cap design, which incorporates a neat-fitting shrive. It is suitable for a variety of cosmetic and personal care applications, according to J&J....
