The Alcan packaging stand was as busy as ever despite the continuing uncertainty regarding its future ownership "There are lots of suitors and we are scrutinising them. Alcan wants to find an industrial partner who can do packaging better than it does," corporate communications director Cecile Tuil explained.
In the meantime, Tuil said, the company was forging ahead with its sustainability programme. "Alcan has three levels of commitment--investment in community programmes, energy savings and encouraging our customers to match our efforts with audits," she explained, noting that all require short or long term investment.
