Soil Association bans nanomaterials in organic beauty products.(INTERNATIONAL NEWS)

The Soil Association in the UK has become the first body globally to ban the use of manmade nanoparticles from all the organic beauty products certified by the organisation.
While the Soil Association say it recognises there may be benefits from nanotechnology - it has the potential to radically transform many sectors of industry, including medicine--much of the $9bn per year being invested globally in nanotechnology is going to the development of cosmetics. Many companies such as L'Oreal, Unilever, Boots and Lancome, it maintains, are already developing and introducing these super fine particles into their products.
