Coty gets busy with new fragrance licences and cosmetics.(INTERNATIONAL NEWS)

Fragrance giant Coty has hit the headlines again by signing yet more high profile fragrance licences.

This time, the spotlight falls on Halle Berry, the Oscar-winning US actress. The first Halle Berry fragrance products will launch globally in spring 2009 and will retail in mid-level department stores, filtering down to more mass market outlets at a later date.

While the licence will allow Coty to develop fragrances and ancillary products, it is unlikely that cosmetics will join the fold for the foreseeable future. Berry is contracted to Revlon, where she has been a spokesmodel since 1996.
