Bush names Entertainment counsel to head DHS Transportation Policy. (Transportation).

The administration nominated Stewart Verdery, senior legislative counsel at Vivendi Universal Entertainment, to be assistant secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) for Border and Transportation Security Policy.

Before moving to Vivendi, Verdery was general counsel to Sen. Don Nickles (R-Okla.), then assistant minority leader. Earlier in his career, he served as counsel for the Senate Judiciary and Rules and Administration committees.
