OSF Healthcare selects PeopleSoft Inc. to install materials management system. (Hospital Purchasing).(Brief Article)

Hospital Materials Management, January, 2002

OSF Healthcare System, Peoria, Ill., has selected PeopleSoft Inc., Pleasanton, Calif., to install integrated systems for a variety of back-office functions, including materials management.

In November 2001 OSF licensed PeopleSoft 8 for materials management, financial management, human resources and enterprise performance.

OSF has six acute-care hospitals and three other facilities and wanted to streamline its operations.

"We needed a solution that would unify our work force and give us the flexibility to grow at the lowest possible cost," OSF chief information officer Rich Johnson said of the decision to standardize on the PeopleSoft products.
