Any athletes injured at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City more than likely were treated with medical-surgical supplies from Allegiance Healthcare Corp., McGaw Park, Ill.

That is because Allegiance, a division of Cardinal Health, Dublin, Ohio, had a distribution deal with its client Intermountain Health Care, Salt Lake City, which had been named the official health care provider for the games.

Intermountain clinicians staffed two temporary medical clinics at each of the 16 Olympic sites--one each for athletes and spectators.

The clinics stocked about 1,400 different med-surg supplies, delivered by Allegiance.
