Medline Industries, Mundelein, Ill., is negotiating to purchase the health care apparel division of Angelica Corp., St. Louis.
If the deal takes effect, Medline will sell products made by the health care apparel portion of Angelica's Image Apparel operations, including the existing inventory, sales, marketing and distribution for items such as scrubs, lab coats, surgical apparel, patient wear and professional uniforms.
The combined market share of Medline and Angelica health care textiles will total over $310 million and more than 19,000 items.
Distribution will be through Medline's 650 national sales representatives and 23 distribution centers.
