OSF Healthcare System selects IDX to provide electronic medical records.(Hospital Purchasing)(Brief Article)

OSF Healthcare System, Peoria, Ill., is implementing a contract to provide electronic medical records and online charts. The vendor is IDX Systems Corp., Burlington, Vt.

In August, Saint Anthony's Medical Center, Rockford, Ill., 254 beds, became the fourth of OSF's five hospitals to go live with IDX's Carecast software.

Carecast is linked with Pyxis dispensing equipment from Cardinal Health, Dublin, Ohio. The last installation, scheduled for fall, will be at Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria, Ill., 731 beds.
