Radiology devices, software featured in Providence Health deal with Eleckta.(HOSPITAL PURCHASING)(Brief Article)

Providence Health System in Seattle, with 18 acute-care hospitals, has a new contract for oncology and neurosurgical products and software.

The vendor is Elekta in Atlanta. The deal took effect in September and runs for five years. It covers the company's image guidance and stereotactic applications for radiation treatments.

Supply chain management director David Hunter said in a news release that his selection criteria included reliability, scope of products, service and reputation, value-added enhancements, and price. "Elekta listened to our needs and demonstrated a commitment to helping us provide the highest level of patient care," he said.
