Wellmont Health System, a five-hospital integrated delivery network in Kingsport, TN, in July began implementing a contract to install a comprehensive monitoring system in its obstetrics and gynecology department. The vendor is CliniComp in San Diego, and Wellmont selected the company's Essentris[TM] Perinatal information system.

The first two Wellmont facilities to install the system were Bristol Regional Medical Center and Holston Valley Medical Center.

The Essentris software has three integrated components for fetal surveillance, maternal charting, and newborn intensive care.
