BP Amoco acquisition.
Underground Construction, April, 2000
BP Amoco recently strengthened its position as North America's top gas producer through a $18 million deal to buy a significant part of Repsol BYPF's holding in Crescendo Resources, a major gas producer and processor in Texas and Oklahoma.
Richard Oliver, chief executive of exploration and production at BP Amoco said we see this as an opportunity to add immense strategic value. It proves our leadership position in gas in the lower 48 and we can anticipate further opportunities for strategic gas investments.
