Research Updates, Houston Infrastructure Discussed At GCTA.

Guests and members of the Gulf Coast Trenchless Association (GCTA) met Dec. 13, at the HESS Building in Houston to hear presentations given by three speakers addressing a variety of issues.

Dr. Raymond Sterling, director of the Trenchless Technology Center (TTC) at Louisiana Tech University, spoke about recent research activities at TTC and future plans for 2001. TTC's proposal advanced to the finals of the "Blue Ribbon" review panel at the National Science Foundation (NSF). Unfortunately, the panel decided to recommend only two of seven proposals for funding.
