Fiber blowing lawsuits: countersuits, settlement & dismissal: 2 U.S. companies countersue BT.

Two American companies have filed separate lawsuits against British Telecommunications (BT), seeking to invalidate the London-based telecom giant's United States patents covering cable "blowing" equipment and methods. The suite also seek to prevent BT from initiating future infringement actions regarding those patents.

The civil suits were filed by Arnco Corp., Elyria, OH, and Sherman & Reilly Inc., Chattanooga, TN. Arnco manufactures and markets fiber blowing equipment; Sherman & Reilly is licensed to sell fiber blowing products of a Swiss manufacturer.
