Gilat Satellite Networks announced it has been selected by Philippine Multimedia Systems Inc. (PMSI) and AZ Communication Network (AzCom) to provide a high-speed satellite communications network.
Gilat's SkyBlaster very small aperture terminal equipment (VSAT) will power PMSI's planned nationwide, two-way satellite Internet service to consumers, small office/home office (SOHO) users and small- to medium-sized enterprises throughout the Philippines.
The Internet service to be offered by PMSI and AzCom, known as Dream VSAT, represents a pioneering deployment of broadband, two-way satellite Internet access in the Philippines.
