Hanaro Telecom selects Riverstone networks metro solutions to eliminate bandwidth bottleneck in Korea. (Korea).

Riverstone Networks Inc. announced that Hanaro Telecom, the second largest broadband service provider in Korea, has deployed Riverstone's metro routers in its e-Valley project to ease last-mile network congestion in Seoul. In a two-phased deployment, Hanaro installed RS 8000 and RS 3000 metro routers throughout its network to aggregate traffic from high-density apartment buildings in Korea and deliver advanced services such as video on demand and Internet gaming to its 2.4 million subscribers.
