Fujikura's E-Pon Optical line terminal (OLT) and optical network units (ONU) realize broadband Ethernet communications over FTTH networks utilizing a passive optical network structure. The system provides Data, VoIP, and video services using standard Internet Protocol, the same protocol as used by virtually every LAN or WAN worldwide.
Video Services can be supplied via IP using the same wavelength (1490nm) as data and voice or overlaid optically using the reserved 1550nm wavelength standardized by CATV networks.
